Fisher Textiles Unveils Newest Backlit SEG (Silicone Edge Graphic) Fabric
Does the Perfect SEG (Silicone Edge Graphic) Fabric Exist?
Finding the right SEG (silicone edge graphic) backlit fabric can often feel like a search for something that just doesn’t exist. To some, the perfect fabric must be craze resistant and wrinkle free. To others, it must have a tight weave and soft hand. But to everyone, the perfect backlit fabric must present outstanding print and distribution of light. Fisher Textiles’ newest backlit SEG fabric, GF 6090 SunBright®, has all of these features and more.
The basis of development for GF 6090 SunBright® was to enhance light dispersion for the production of brilliant backlit prints. Lighting is evenly distributed across the entire surface of the fabric making printed SEG images look incredible. SunBright® is compatible with transfer dye sublimation and has a super soft hand. It has superior wrinkle and craze resistance and can ship folded in a small box instead of on a roll, offering a cost savings in shipping and handling. Since it is a knit fabric, it is easy to finish and features a resilient stretch for a tight fit and easy install in aluminum framing systems. It also meets the flame requirements of most fire marshals for indoor use, passing NFPA 701, California Title 19, B-s1-d0 (EN 13501-1) and B-1 (DIN 4102-1). It’s medium weight (6.3 osy) and wide width (123 inches) make it ideal for any sized SEG application.
Fisher Textiles featured several SEG prints on SunBright® in their booth at the recent SGIA Expo in Las Vegas, October 18-20, 2018. The aluminum frame was provided by SEG Frames. Graphics were printed by Printed Ink, who is launching backlitseg.com for print and sew SEG goods.
Those looking to get into this hot market have come to the right place. SunBright® is becoming the fabric of choice for many SEG commercial printers, will it be yours?
